Earlier this month, we celebrated academic excellence at the President's Honor Roll Reception at MVC on February 6. An impressive 2,501 students were recognized for their achievements during the fall 2024 semester. More than 330 attendees, including students, friends, and family, joined the celebration. We were also honored to have Trustees Smith and Ashley in attendance.

Executive Cabinet

In light of recent federal changes, MSJC reaffirms its commitment to supporting all students. As a Hispanic Serving institution, MSJC ensures equitable access to resources and upholds privacy protections under California law. The college provided individualized outreach, distributed legal resources such as Red Cards, and offered support through faculty and staff. MSJC remains dedicated to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.

An MSJC delegation, including Superintendent/President Dr. Roger Schultz, Trustees Jhalister Corona and Calvin Smith, and Director of Institutional and Government Relations Karin Marriott, traveled to Washington, D.C., for the 2025 National Legislative Summit hosted by the Association of Community College Trustees. The team met with Congressman Raul Ruiz, M.D., and a legislative assistant for Rep. Ken Calvert to discuss funding priorities, student aid programs, and workforce development. Their advocacy emphasized expanding educational access, strengthening workforce partnerships, and securing resources to benefit community college students in California and beyond.
